Simple voice control
Simple voice controlFord SYNC is so intuitive, it can operate with simple voice commands. For example, if you want to call home, you just say “Phone… Call home”. SYNC then connects you. It’s that easy. The commands you use to control your music are equally simple, too.If ever SYNC is unsure of one of your spoken commands, it suggests alternatives, both by saying them out loud and showing them on your display screen. You can even switch languages, as SYNC speaks four.SYNC upgradesFord SYNC technology is constantly evolving – for example, its language capabilities are becoming more sophisticated all the time. And you’ll be able to integrate the improvements and new services into your SYNC version, as they’re released.
Currently, you can have the updates downloaded directly, by taking your car to your Ford dealer.
And soon you’ll be able to simply download them from our website onto a USB stick. You can then slot this into the USB port in your car and transfer the new services and updates yourself.

Just pair your Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone with Ford SYNC and you can chat, hands-free.Voice commands as simple as “Phone… Call Jack mobile” are all you need to use to make a call (SYNC uses the contact list on your mobile phone).
Continue your call in and out of the carIf you’re on a hands-free call when you’re getting out of the car, SYNC automatically switches it to your mobile handset. And if you’re talking on your mobile as you’re getting into the car, SYNC switches the call to hands-free mode. Either way, you can carry on your conversation, uninterrupted.

SYNC uses Bluetooth® wireless technology to pass information between your vehicle and your phone. You can use voice commands and other simple controls—such as steering wheel buttons—to make and receive calls or listen to music. Like a universal remote control, SYNC controls your phone and your music, stored on USB or Bluetooth Audio devices. SYNC is customized in each vehicle, so the design can vary from model to model, but the basics are the same.
How do I find out if my phone is compatible with SYNC?

To use any of the phone features for SYNC® —such as making a call or receiving a text message —you must first connect, or "pair" your Bluetooth®-enabled phone.
